THOMAS SIGN CREATIONS IS AWARDED THE SIGNAGE CONTRACT AND MAIN ENTRANCE RENOVATIONS FOR THE BLAKE HOTEL AND CMAERON BROWN BUILDING IN CHARLOTTE, NC

Thomas Sign Creations has designed and is in the process of fabricating the aluminum and stainless steel for re-facing the main entrance canopies at The Blake Hotel, formerly the Adam’s Mark, and the Cameron Brown Building in Downtown Charlotte, NC. In addition, TSC is building the halo-lit channel letters and numbers for both canopies and the twelve foot B’s, which will be both front-lit through the orange face and halo-lit out the back of the letters to create a glow and the illusion of the letters floating in front of the wall at night. These B’s, along with halo-lit channel letters spelling out Blake Hotel, will be installed on three sides of The Blake’s main tower.

They will also be handling all of the new interior ADA signs, logo treatments and vinyl graphics at The Blake and a new awning at Cameron Brown’s lower level/side entrance. Installation is scheduled for December with completion anticipated by the first of the year.

THOMAS SIGN CREATIONS RECEIVES CONTRACT TO REFURBISH ROOFTOP NEON SIGN FOR THE HISTORIC POINSETT HOTEL IN DOWNTOWN GREENVILLE, SC

Thomas Sign Creations is in the process of disassembling and refurbishing an old set of steel channel letters that spell out POINSETT HOTEL on the rooftop tower of the beautiful, historic hotel built in 1925. TSC, in conjunction with SignTech of the Carolinas, has removed the old letters and raceways, which have been in place since the mid-1950’s, and have rebuilt and repainted the letters, manufactured new neon light tubes and will be reinstalling the rebuilt letters and new raceways by year end.

The Mayor and the City of Greenville are behind this project because, like most cities, Greenville is trying to maintain as much of their historic architecture as possible and this sign was an icon in the city for decades, although it has been inoperable and in very bad shape for many, many years.

The plan, at this point, is for the Mayor to flip the switch at midnight on New Year’s Eve bringing new life to a piece of history in the city. Thomas Sign Creations is excited about the project because they don’t get the opportunity very often to bring something this old back to life.

THOMAS SIGN CREATIONS DEVELOPS LOGO AND SIGNAGE PACKAGE FOR ORTHO CARE’S NEWEST LOCATION IN CHARLOTTE, NC

Thomas Sign Creations is in the process of designing and fabricating the exterior and interior signage for Dr. Ford Cooper’s newest OrthoCare Orthodontics location at Northlake Commons. TSC handled all of the signage at Cooper’s Spartanburg, SC location in 2005 and has since developed a new logo for the practice, which is being incorporated throughout the new facility.

They will be handling the internally-lit exterior signs, as well as all of the interior ADA signs, logo wall and vinyl graphics. Installation is scheduled for September in anticipation of an October opening.

Stratford Richardson YMCA

THOMAS SIGN CREATIONS HAS BEEN AWARDED THE INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR SIGNAGE CONTRACT FOR THE STRATFORD RICHARDSON YMCA IN CHARLOTTE, NC

Thomas Sign Creations has designed and is fabricating a V-shaped monument sign for the main entrance of Charlotte’s newest YMCA on West Blvd. The sign will include the YMCA logo, the Stratford Richardson name and an LED message center, as well as a Carolinas Health Center logo on each side. Other signage includes a monument sign for the side entrance at Donald Ross Road, plus exterior wall and football field signs.

For the interior, TSC designed ADA-compatible signs for the entrances to all of the rooms and facilities within the complex. In addition to installing all of the signage, TSC has also been subcontracted to handle the installation of the large image posters and murals, which will appear throughout the building. Expected opening date is August 27. The grand opening, ribbon cutting ceremony is scheduled for September 9.
